Ch. 10: The First Day Empty Ch. 10: The First Day

The first day of survival is unique. It stands apart from all the others in that we don't know who our enemy is yet. OZs (original zombies) aren't required to flag themselves as Zeds, and therefore are especially deadly. Smart OZs will attempt to gain your trust and travel with you to kill you. It's not uncommon for female OZs to search for safe escorts to class only to turn on their protectors.. Don't be chivalrous; this is the Zed apocalypse.

Because of this added nuance of survival until the first mission, humans should not trust each other for the first day. Stun any human that approaches you, and make sure to keep them stunned. Stranger danger, survivors. Trust your friends at your own risk, but any stranger who approaches you should get a dart or sock in the chest. It isn't personal, humans.. It's survival.

Until the original Zeds are revealed and the first mission begins, follow this simple rule. Still, remember to follow the other 10 Cardinal Rules for Survial at all times. Check brush, watch your corners, and keep your eyes peeled for headbands. You are prey, but you can choose to be the most cunning, elusive, and deadly prey possible.
